Minutes of the Meeting January J.4, 1955
.,. ,eting was d.rlled to order by President Wayne Rust, in the Chamber of Co :r-:m erce Building, at 7:30 P. M. this date .
First business at hand was the reading of the letter signed by Newton F. Gilliland, and Irene Gilliland, h is wife, in respect to rezoning property from residential to commercial, being part of Out lot 57, in U. S. P'. Survey 2199, on William Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on the western extremities of William and Sheridan. After due discussion in regard to rezoning, motion was made by Thomas L. Meyer, and seconded by Barrett Walker that the property not be rezoned from residential to comnercial. President Wayne Rust · called for a vote, all in favor,voted not to have the afore mentioned property rezoned.
Second business handled was a letter from Narvol Randol in regard to having a meeting with the Traffic Advisory Committee, and the problim to be discussed at that time would be parking. The Mayor will be advised by Wayne Rust , that at any time the 'l'raffic Advisory Committee could meet, we would be happy to meet with them.
