The meeting was called to order by Chairman Paul Stiles at 4:00 p.m.
The minutes from the August 22, 1989, meeting were approved as m.a.i!ed.
PARKING LOT LAYOUT
The Board reviewed the parking lot layout for rental car locations and
approved relocating the area to the north end of the parking lot. Further
discussion will take place at the next meeting.
FARM LEASES
OTHER
Farm leases were discussed and Jerry McClanahan motioned that the leases be
extended through December 31, 1990 for both the Niederkorn and Burger
leases. These leases would be extended on the same terms and conditions with
control of all weed grasses for an annual rental based on $80.00 per acre. The
approximate acreage covered is 223 acres for Niederkorn and 25 acres for
Burger. If these terms are not acceptable to the tenants, the contracts will
expire on December 31, 1989, and will be rebid. This motion was seconded by
Truman Cole.
A motion was made by Jerry McClanahan and seconded by Truman Cole that
the City Manager furnish all revenue information pertinent to the Airport on a
monthly basis. This motion was carried.
Until a determination of legality of a closed meeting is made, no discussion of
the airport tower and National Weather Service contract were discussed.
The entire board expressed its support of the upcoming Travel Day to be held
on October 15th.
With no further business coming before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
