June 18 , 1985
The Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport met at the Arena Building on
June 1t3 , 19d5 at 4 : 30 p .m • Those present were :
Paul Miles , Chairman
Jerry McClanahan , Secretary
Truman Cole ,Board Member
Motion was made by Truman Cole : That the Airport being in a run
down condition and that it bein� degenerating , and feeling that
if the I . S . L . is down again the F . A . A . will pull this piece of
equipment and our airports qualifications will surely fall .
We feel it is time to act now and hire an Airport �lanager full
time . We feel the equipment for mowing and taking care of the
grounds is there and all it needs is personnel to be told how
to use it .
We feel the equipment in the restuarant and in the main terminal
is getting old and in bad repair and needs to be replaced , along
with the roof and other things .
The onset of winter is vast approaching and cannot be ignored .
THIS IS THE GATEWAY TO OUR CITY .
Motion seconded by Jerry McClanahan . Passed unanimously .
Motion by Paul Miles that the Airport Board request a meetina
with the City Manager at the first convenience of Mr . Eide .
Second by Truman Cole . Passed unanimously .
There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned .
