The Airport Advisory Board met at the Arena Building on July 11, 1984 at

Jeff Hancock opened the meeting informing the Board about the Tower reopening.
The F.A.A. program is to contract to the City to reopen the tower and the
City would then sub—contract by bid. Facts mentioned were; liabiality, federal
wage, and pilot program.
Motion was made by Glenn Reeves that we recommend to the City Council that
we proceed with the contract basis with the F. A. A. to reopen the tower.
Potential long range benifits appear to outway any apparent disadvantages to
our airport and the outlying area. Our advantages would be in the area of
safety and industrial development. Second by Truman Cole. Passed inanimously.
Motion made by Jerry McClanahan that the Airport Board deny the free use of
literature rack concerning religious manner or any other propaganda . That
we take care of our acm commercial area as far as advertisement. Seconded

Motion by Truman Cole that Airport Board not recommend that any parachute

logical reason be given that it should be allowed. Died from lack of second.
