AIRPORT BOARD
July 19, 1983
The Cape Girardeau l�iz•part Advisory Board met at the A�ena Building at
7:30 p.m. on July 19, ;_983.
Present:
Paul Miles, Chairman Jeff Hancock, Asst. City Manager
Dave Patterson, Board Member Bob Gass, Director of Aviation
Jerry McClanahan, Secretary Guest: Dan Britt, Director of Marketing
Truman �ole, Board Member A1 Tingby,Director of Tariffs
Wayne Romig, Chief Pilot

Meeting called to order at ?:50 p.m.
Presentation by Britt Airways representatives Al Tingby, Director of Tariffs
and Scheduling, Daniel K. Britt, Director of Marketing and Wayne Romig,
Chief Pilot, as to offer Cape Girardeau Air Service to St. Louis. Potential
schedule:
Depart Cape __8:15 a.m. Arrive St. Louis 9:00 a.m.
Depart St. Louis 9:20 a.m. Arrive Cape 10:05 a.m.
Depart Cape 12:15 p.m. Arrive St. Louis 1:00 p.m.
Depart St. Louis 6:15 p.m. Arrive Cape 7:00 p.m.
Depart Cape 7:15 p.m. Arrive St. Louis 8:00 p.m.
Depart St. Louis 8:15 p.m. Arrive Care 9�00 p.m.
Depart Cape 9:15 p.m.
First flight and last flight to be shared with Paducah, Kentucky. To be
served with a Beech 99-15 passenger—which 13 passengers booked. Britt
airways will offer this air service with a record of any new service to
cities and have nevered cancelled or left any City they have went into!
Mo��ion made by Truman Cole: That Airport Board decide by vote for re—
commendation that Britt Airways be offered the right to operate at Cape.
To offer air service to St. Louis as described in presentation. Seconded
by Dave Patterson.
Motion by Dave Patterson that City enter into lease agreement with Britt
Airways for the offering of Air Service from Cape Girardeau to St. Louis
and that we as Airport Board welcome Britt to our City. Seconded by
Truman Cole.
Discussion of Federal Express for plane service. Probably will be working
with Cape Central for Space.

Proposal by Miracle Water of $3,194.00 (44.50 + 25 for lease)
Culligan for $2,131.00 (lease 60 month for 150.00 per month)
Motion made by Dave Patterson that both bids be submitted to City Manager's
Office for their discussion. Seconded by Jerry McClanahan.
Feeling of Airport Board that it is a vital situation that a schematic be
made of wiring,gas, water and sewer lines sc that anyone digging in new
lines won't cut into. Also vital that any contractors �e able to use
for purpose of repair.
Jeff Hancock reported new engineers being hired is Booker and Associates
in place of Horner and Shifrin and that City is moving forward on new
ramp and overlay of 02 and remodeling of restrooms of new government
grants. �

May this letter serve as our intentions and committment :
To provide air transportation for passengers and cargo
between the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport , Cape
Girardeau , Missouri and Lambert-St . Louis International
Airport , St , Louis , Missouri beginning on the date of
1 September 1983 .
To lease and occupy such space at the Cape Girardeau
Municipal Airport as is found acceptable and agreeable
between the leasor and leasee .
To cooperate with the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport
Board , the Chamber of Commerce Airport Task Committee ,
local civic and industrial factions , and all other in-
terested parties to provide the quality and scope of
air transportation to the market area served by the
Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport .
To facilitate the accomplishment of the above , BRITT
AIRWAYS will constantly monitor the actions and reactions
of its ' customers ; solicit comments from all elements of
the community; advertise and promote its ' service through-
out the area , and , to the greatest degree possible, be-
come a viable member of the community an�f the goals of the
community .
