AIRPORT BOARD
June 27, 1979

The meeting was called to order by Paul Mi.les. The minutes of the last meetinb
were approved as read.
I;obert Gass presented the new plan for parking for r�ental cars. Cole moved
that rental cars be limited to four spaces for each franchise. Seconded by
Patterson. Motion carried. The Board feels that plan should be approved if
rental cars are limited to four spaces each.
There was a discussion of the transfer of the o�anership of the fixed based
op¢ration. The Board would like an opinion of the City Attorney as to the
legality of the oi,mership transfer.
There was a discussion of the problem with Airport fire protection under the
work slow down and subsequent suspension of the rire Depax�tment. Board re—
eommends we investi.gate quickly the possibility of having the National Guard
cover the airport for take offs and ].andings. Gass indicated we could be
cleared by phone �aith the F.A.t1.
St�verink reported that the recomnended projects for airport have been approved
by the F.A.A.
Patterson recommendel that the ar�a around Farquar's building and Cape Central
area be moved and cleared of trash.
Cole reported that the carpet layin�; job i_n the 'cerminal is not up to ttie
established standards of workmanship. Cape Carpet Co. should be contacted
and made to re—do the job.

Truman Cole moved for adjournment. Seconded by Dave Patterson. Motion carried.
