Dear Mr. Lawley:
At a special meeting of the Airport Board an the morning of
October 21, the follawing action was taken.
It was IInved, discussed an.d the IIntion was caxried tha.t the Airport
Board recoim�end the City Cotm.cil enter into negotiatians with
Mr. Farquar and his son to execute a lease, desired by the Farquar's,
wherein a building and certain ramp areas w�uld be canstructed for
the pUrpose of housing an airpl�e engine shap. The Airport Board
concurs in a rental charge of eight percent of the land value,
stipulated to be $5,000 an acre, as a base rental with an optional
charge of two percent of the gross rever�ue produced therein, whichever
is the larger figure. The Board further recamrends that the city
consider accepting the base rental anly for the first three years
of the lease. - ,
