6. Jay Stencel, City Engineer, discussed the proposed amendments to the Subdivision
Regulations regarding sidewalks. The Commission recommended approval of the
proposed amendments regarding sidewalks. The vote on the motion to approve the
amendments was 8 in favor and none in opposition.
7. Scott Rhodes and Charles Haubold were appointed to the Long-Range Strategic Planning
Committee to replace R. J. McKinney and Gregory Williams.
8. Tim Arbeiter, Director of Old Town Cape, made a presentation to the Commission
regarding the amendment to the Historic Preservation Ordinance to lower the percentage
of property owners required to establish a local district from 75% to 51%. The
Commission recommended approval of the proposed amendments. The vote on the
motion to approve the amendment was 8 in favor and none in opposition.
9. Kent Bratton, City Planner, presented a request to the Commission regarding funds
remaining in the TTF-2 program. Currently there is $46,000 remaining in the new
sidewalk construction account, and $300,000 remaining in the sidewalk repair account.
Mr. Bratton requested the Commission approve moving $200,000 from the repair account
to the new construction account. This would allow construction of new sidewalks in
� areas where sidewalks were not connected,particularly around schools. The Commission
recommended approval of this funding allocation. The vote on the motion to approve the
funding request was 8 in favor and none in opposition.
