5. That the record plat of Seldom Rest Farm Subdivision be recommended for conditional
approval. The vote on the motion to conditionally approve the plat was 11 in favor and
none in opposition.
6. The Commissioners were provided copies of proposed amendments to the Subdivision
Regulations regarding sidewalks. The proposed amendment will be placed on the
November agenda for discussion and action.
7. The appearance of Old Town Cape on possible amendment to the Historic Preservation
Ordinance was postponed until the November meeting.
8. The appointment of a replacement to the Long-Range Strategic Planning Committee to
replace R. J. McKinney was postponed until the November meeting.
9. Communications from Commissioners.
Commissioner McKinney asked about looking into establishing an O-1 zoning
classification for offices only. This zoning classification was mentioned during the joint
� meeting with the Jackson Planning and Zoning Commission. There was also discussion
regarding setting up an annual joint meeting of the Commissions , and possibly including
representatives from Scott City.
Chairman Smallwood asked about the status of the proposed sign ordinance. Beckie
Figliolo, Planning Technician, reported that staff was making final changes to the
ordinance draft and hoped to have it for the November agenda. Commissioners asked
that the draft be sent out as early as possibly to given the ample time for review prior to
the meeting.
Chairman Smallwood asked if the City Planner could invite representatives from
MoDOT to the December meeting to discuss upcoming projects.
