� ; The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, April 9,
.�,�, '� ; 2003. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we act and/or

;� recommend as follows:

� � 1. That the request of Agan Alkan to rezone 2605-2607 Themis Street I
� � �
� from R-3, Two-Family Residential District, to C-2, General
; ;
��, Commercial District, be recommended for disapproval. The vote on �
� ��, the motion to approve the request was none in favor and 11 in ;
� ;� opposition. However, the Commission did recommend approval of a !
�
' Special Use Permit for a commercial use at this location, with the
< � � + ;
� stipulation that there be no employees allowed on the premises, and
�� that a 2 '/2-foot by 3 %2-foot unlighted sign be allowed, mounted above
� � t h e o v e r h e a d d o o r o f t h e g a r a g e b u i l d i n g. T h e v o t e o n t h e m o t i o n t o
,� approve the Special Use Permit was 11 in favor and none in
opposition. Three citizens appeazed regarding this request.

� : ' Bill Vaughn Develo ment Services Coordinator,made a resentation to

' � the Commission on the Flood Control Detention Basin project. Kent Bratton,
City Planner, also gave the Commission an update on the Transportation Trust
� Fund projects,and the status of the new Federal Court House project.
