The guidelines would then be formally discussed at their regular Septer.mber meeting. The Council also requested the Commission to review the rezoning application for property at Kingshighway and Boulder Crest Drive without the green belt requirement. After discussion, the Commission unanimously voted to remain with their original recommendation to rezone the property with the green belt in place. In other words, they would not approve a rezoning of this tract without the green belt. Kent Bratton, City Planner, presented the Commissioners with two sketch plans of the intersection of Henderson and New Madrid Street. There was discussion on a plan originally developed by Kensey Russell, former City Engineer, and modified per comments from the Planning Commission, and a plan submitted by Dr. Taylor Bahn, whose property adjoins the intersection. After discussion, the Commission asked that Exhibits A and B, the modified Russell plan and the Bahn plan, be giveri to the Engineering Division for engineering analysis and comparative cost estimates, and that this information be returned for their review on September 11th. They also requested staff to check into having some type of temporary lighting and stop signs placed at the intersection prior to the University students returning for the fall session. Scott Rhodes appeared before the Commission to get their comments on a proposed development on the southeast corner of North Cape Rock Drive and Lombardo Drive. The Commission agreed that the development looked feasible and would be expecting the appropriate application from Mr. Rhodes for their next agenda. The Commission was to have reviewed the Major Street Plan. This item was postponed until the September meeting. Respectful ubmitted, Ji L.
