To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, July 11,
1990. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we
act and/or recommend as follows:
l. That the request of New Life World Outreach Center
for a Special Use Permit for expanding the
facilities at 720 Bertling Street in an R-1, Single
Family Residential District, zone be recommended for
approval, subject to the City Engineer reviewing and
approving the entrances to the parking areas.
� 2. That the request of Bentley and Wanda Ramsey and Tim
Singleton for a Special use permit for increasing
the height of an existing communication tower at
2911 Bloomfield Road in an R-1, Single Family
Residential District, zone be recommended for
approval for the installation of a new 180 foot
tower.
3 . That the request of David and Jerrie Gerlach, Randol
Farms Development, Inc. and Christ Presbyterian
Church for a Special Use Permit to construct a
church on a tract bounded by Lexington Avenue,
Woodland Place No. 2, Woodland Hills Estates 3rd,
Randol Farms No. 1, and a retention basin in an R-1,
Single Family Residential District, zone be
recommended for approval.
A brief presentation of the Airport Master Plan was made to
the Commission by Mark Seesing, Airport Manager, and Doug Leslie,
Public Works Director. A motion was made to set a public hearing
date of August 8, 1990, at 7: 00 P.M. , for a public hearing on this
Master Plan.

A study session was scheduled for July 23, 1990, to review
current City regulations for on-premise signs and discuss possible
changes in the regulations.
