SPECIAL 5ESSION - MAY 26, 1994
Council convened in special session on Thursday, May 26, 1994, at 5:00 p.m. with
Mayor Al Spradling III presiding and Council Members Richard Eggimann, Melvin
Gateley, Tom Neumeyer and JJ Williamson present.
Mr. Eggunann made a motion, seconded by Mr. Williamson to adopt the agenda as
distributed. Mr. Gateley made an amending motion, seconded by Mr. Eggimann, to
amend the agenda by deleting items 4 and 5, and only acting on items 1, 2, 3 and 6.
After much discussion, the amending motion was approved upon the following vote:
Ayes, Eggimann, Gateley, Neumeyer, Williamson. Nays, Spradling. The original
motion was approved as amended upon the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Gateley,
Neumeyer, Williamson. Nays, Spradling.
BILL NO. 94-115 was given first, second and third readings as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE U.S. ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR A TITLE IX SPECIAL ECONOMIC
ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE PROJECT
The first, second and third readings of BILL NO. 94-115 were approved upon Mr.
Gateley's motion, Mr. Neumeyer's second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann,
Gateley, Neumeyer, Spradling, Williamson. BILL NO. 94-115 is ORDINANCE NO.
1535.
BILL NO. 94-116 was given first, second and third readings as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEP'TING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE MISSOURI
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR A RELOCATION
ASSISTANCE PROJECT.
The first, second and third readings of BILL NO. 94-116 were approved upon Mr.
Eggimann's motion, Mr. Williamson's second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann,
Gateley, Neumeyer, Spradling, Williamson. BILL NO. 94-116 is ORDINANCE NO.
1536.
Following the special session, the City Council met in an open study session to review
the proposed Annual Operating Budget for fiscal year 1994-1995.
Following the study session, Mr. Williamson made a motion, seconded by Mr.
Eggimann, that the City Council adjourn to executive session to discussion litigation and
contract issues. The motion was approved upon the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann,
Gateley, Kasten, Neumeyer, Spradling, Williamson. Nays, none.
