SPECIAL SESSION- FEBRUARY 12, 1996
Council convened in special session on Monday, February 12, 1996, at 12:00 noon with Mayor Al
Spradling III presiding and Council Members Melvin Gateley, Melvin Kasten, Jack Rickard, and J.J.
Williamson present. Richard Eggimann and Tom Neumeyer were absent.
Mayor Spradling stated that the February 6 primar� election results had been received from County
Clerk Rodney Miller. Pursuant to Section 7.09(a) of the City Charter, Council canvassed the returns
and declared the resulis of the February 6, Y996, City Council Ward 3 primary election, upon Dr.
Kasten's motion and Mr. Williamson's second. The motion was approved upon the following vote:
Ayes, Gateley, Kasten, Rickard, Spradling, Williamson. Nays, none. The results of the election
were as follows:
M. Jack Rickard 97
Jay Purcell 53
Dr�z C. Reeves 33
There being no further business, the Council adjourned upon Dr. Kasten's motion, Mr. Williamson's
second, and the following vote: Ayes, Gateley, Kasten, Rickard, Spradling, Williamson. Nays,
none.
