SPECIAL SESSION - OCTOBER 6, 1994
Council convened in a special session on Thursday, October 6, 1994, at 12:00 noon with
Mayor A1 Spradling III presiding and Council Members Richard Eggimann, Melvin
Gateley, Melvin Kasten, Tom Neumeyer, Jack Rickard and JJ Williamson present.
BILL NO. 94-268 was given first, second and third readings as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE U. S. ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ADMIIVISTRATION FOR A TITLE IX SPECIAL ECONOMIC
ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT WATER TREATMENT
PLANT NO. 1
The first, second and third readings of BILL NO. 94-268 were approved and the
ordinance adopted upon Dr. Kasten's motion, Mr. Williamson's second, and the
following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Gateley, Kasten, Neumeyer, Rickard, Spradling,
Williamson. Nays, none. BILL NO. 94-268 is ORDINANCE NO. 1619.
Mr. Tom Taggart, Water System Manager, explained the options available to protect the
intake structure as outlined by Burns and McDonnell and updated the Council on the
alluvial well testing.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned upon Mr. Gateley's motion, Mr.
Eggimann's second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Gateley, Kasten,
Neumeyer, Rickard, Spradling, Williamson. Nays, none.
