SPECIAL SESSION— AUGUST 11, 2000
Council convened in special session on Friday, August I 1, 2000, at 12:00 noon with Mayor Albert
M. Spradling III presiding and Council Members Richard Eggimann, Matt Hopkins, and Hugh
White present. Tom Neumeyer, Jay Purcell and Frank Stoffregen were absent.
Mayor Spradling stated that the August 8, 2000, special election results had been received from
County Clerk Rodney Miller. Pursuant to Section 7.09(a) of the City Charter, the City Council
canvassed the returns and declared the results of the August 8, 2000, special election, upon Mr.
White's motion, Mr. Hopkins' second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Hopkins,
Spradling, White. Nays, none. The results of the election were as follows:

No 1,739
Mr. White made a motion, seconded by Mr. Eggimann, to convene in closed session for the
purpose of discussing property acquisition and litigation. The motion was approved upon the
following vote: Eggimann, Hopkins, Spradling, White. Nays, none.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned upon Mr. Eggimann's motion, Mr.
Hopkins' second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Hopkins, Spradling, White. Nays,
none.
