SPECIAL SESSION-APRIL 8,1996
Council convened in special session on Monday,Apri18, 1996,at 12:00 noon with Mayor A1 Spradling
III presiding and Council Members Richard Eggimann,Melvin Gateley,Melvin Kasten,Jack Rickard,
and J.J.Williamson present. Tom Neumeyer was absent.
Mayor Spradling stated that the Apri12 general election results had been received from County Clerk
Rodney Miller. Pursuant to Section 7.09(a) of the City Charter, Council canvassed the returns and
declared the results of the Apri12, 1996,City general election,upon Mr. Eggimann's motion and Mr.
Williamson's second. The motion was approved upon the following vote: Ayes,Eggimann,Gateley,
Kasten,Rickard, Spradling,Williamson. Nays,none. The results of the election were as follows:

There being no further business,the Council adjoumed upon Mr. Gateley's motion,Mr. Williamson's
second, and the following vote: Ayes, Eggimann, Gateley,Kasten, Rickard, Spradling,Williamson.
Nays,none.
Following the meeting,Mr. Gateley,Dr. Kasten and Mr. Rickard were sworn into office.
