of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met in special session at 5:00 P.M. on
Wednesday, May 3, 1995. The purpose of the meeting was to review the project list developed
at their meeting on April 5, 1995, for projects that might be funded if a transportation sales tax
should be pursued.
The Commission's revised list is attached and is being provided to the Council for
information purposes only. Some of the items on the list are currently in the Capital
� Improvements Program, while others are not. For those currently listed in the CIP, the
Commission would hope that any additional funding that might become available could be used
to accelerate their completion.
Please be advised that this revised list is not, nor is it intended to be, a recommendation
to the City Council at this point. The Commission has not yet received the results of the Vision
2000 meetings being held in this regard, and will consider this in developing any final
recommendation to the Council. The Commission will probably discuss the matter further at
their regular meeting on May lOth and has scheduled another special meeting on May 24th for
further review.
