To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met in special session at 5:00 P.M. on
Wednesday, May 24, 1995. The purpose of the meeting was to finalize their Transportation
Sales Tax Priority Funding List developed at their meetings on April 5, and May 3, 1995.
Mayor AI Spradling and Councilmen J. J. Williamson, Melvin Gateley, Richard
Eggimann, Jack Rickard, Tom Neumeyer, and Melvin Kasten were in attendance at this meeting
for the finalization of this list.

The Commission reviewed lists created as a result of the Vision 2000 community
meetings on transportation needs and funding, and a list developed by the Chamber of
Commerce Surface Transportation Sub-Committee.
The Commission's final list is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
A motion was made by Tom Holshouser and seconded by Charles Thrower to submit
their priority funding list to the City Council at their June Sth meeting and request that the
Council set an election for a l�i cent transportation sales tax for five years for August, 1995.
The vote to approve the motion was unanimous by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
