To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
Tfie Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, August 11, 1993. By majority
vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we act and/or recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Gilbert Winschel and Thomas L. Meyer Trust to rezone 133 South
Ellis Street from R-4, Multiple Family Residential District, to C-2, General Commercial
District, be recommended for approval.
2. That the request of Howard C. and Frances H. Tooke and William J. and Karen A. Sides
� to rezone property along the east side of Giboney Avenue between Elm Street and
Hackberry Street from M-1, Light Industrial District, to M-2, Heavy Industrial District,
and for a Special Use Permit for a metal recycling/salvage center be recommended for
approval, with the stipulation that a solid fence be constructed on the north and west sides
to enclose the recycling/salvage operations and storage.
3. That the record plat of Park West Hospitality Center No. 2 be approved, and that the
Holiday Inn/Victorian Inn entrance road off of William Street and the access road running
north of the Victorian Inn be designated as an approved place.
In other business, the Commission moved the date for their September meeting to the
15th because of the Labor Day holiday and the Council's meeting date being changed.
