To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, January 11,
1990. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we
act and/or recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Terry P. and Sharon L. Sutton
for a Special Use Permit to house a part-time mail
order business selling specialty auto parts,
reproduction parts for 1937, 1938, and 1939
Chevrolets, at 1309 Kenwood Drive in an R-1, Single
Family Residential, zone, be recommended for
denial.
� Election of new officers for the Planning and Zoning
Commission was postponed until the February meeting when more
members of the Commission will be present.
Entrances for the new Highway 74 project were discussed with
the Commission members. The Highway Commission will hold a public
hearing on February 7, 1990, to discuss this project further.
The wording for the change to the Proposed Historic
Preservation Ordinance recommended by the Commission was provided
to the members for their information.
Items that are to be discussed at the next meeting of the
Commission are screening between commercial/industrial zones and
residential uses referred to the Commission by the Council, and
rezoning recommendations for the Airport and surrounding property
that was recently annexed into the City.
