The Commission also recommended approval of a plat of the
Resubdivision of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Summit Estates. This
plat changes some of the lot lines from the previously submitted
plat by enlarging these lots to the west.
The Commission considered a second item referred to them by
the City Council at their May 7th meeting concerning the Lexington
Street Arterial and Greenbrier. The Commission's recommendation to
the Council is that the Council reconsider the Planning
Commission's original recommendation that Lexington Street should
be a 44-foot-wide street within an 80-foot right-of-way. Mr. Harry
Rediger, who is a resident of Lexincton Avenue, abstained from
voting on this recommendation. Consideration on Greenbrier was
tabled until the regular June meeting so that additional
information could be obtained for study and discussion.
Respectfully submitted,
