To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, September
12, 1990. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file,
we act and/or recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Robert C. and Dora V. Grayson to
rezone 1540 Independence Street from M-1, Light
Industrial District, to R-2, Single Family
Residential District, be recommended for approval.
2 . That the request of David J. , Sr. and Carol A. Roth
for a Special Use Permit for retail sales by
appointment and wholesale distribution at 1450 Rose
Street in an R-3 , Two Family Residential District,
zone be recommended for approval.
/ilA� In other actions, the Commission considered a request by John
� '� Sarff for a private street at 2205 Perryville Road. Mr. Sarff owns
a tract of land of approximately 5. 5 acres which he wants to
subdivide. According to the City's Subdivision Regulations, all
streets must be dedicated to public use. He desires to develop one
lot for a residence for himself, and sell the remaining lot. The
second lot would have its access from an easement running between
Perryville Road and Mr. Sarff's lot at the rear of the property.
The Commission voted to recommend approval of the request provided
the subdivision is limited to two lots.
The Commission also unanimously approved a resolution
accepting and adopting the Master Plan for the Cape Girardeau
Municipal Airport.
A joint meeting with the City Council is scheduled for noon,
Tuesday, November 13 , 1990.
The Commission also scheduled a study session for October 15,
1990, to discuss various items.
