To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission held a special study
session on Tuesday, December 4, 1990, to continue their discussion
of the City's Major Street Plan. Discussion was held relating to
major street alignments, functional classifications, street design
standards, and priorities for construction, improvement/reconstruc-.
tion, preliminary engineering, and project engineering. This
meeting continued the public hearinc� on the Major Street Plan from
the Commission's November 14th meeting. Further public discussion
on these items will be continued at subsequent Commission meetings.
In other business the Commission voted to cancel their regular
meeting scheduled for December 12th since there was no regular
agenda business. The next regular meeting will be on January 9,
� 1991. The Commission did discuss the possibility of having another
s�ecial meeting on the Major Street Plan, pending input from the
Missouri Highway Department regarding results of their current
traffic count inventory.
