To the Honrable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, January 14 ,
1987 . By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we
recommend as follows :
1 . That the request of William G. and Mary Jo Masterson and Robert
G. Simpher for a Special Use Permit for an apartment building
at 724 Themis Street in a C-1 zone be approved provided the word
"construction" as used in the application is changed to the word
"remodel" .
2 . That the request of James and Janet L. Mungle for a Special Use
Permit for an addition to an existing commercial building at
� 2424 Kingsway Drive in an R-1 zone be approved.
3 . That the request of Harvey W. and Hariette R. McHarry for a
Special Use Permit for a residence and business at 118 Themis
Street in a C-3 zone be approved.
4 . �hat the request of Nelson Fultz for a Special Use Permit for
a tool sharpening business and automobile engine repair
business at 1131 North Main Street in an R-2 zone be approved.
The Commission also recommends that the City Council consider
putting the City Engineer back on the Planning and Zoning Commission
because his knowledge and expertise are needed to answer many questions
raised during the meetings .
Upon the occassion of the retirement from this Commission of
its chairman, Richard Giles , the Commission wishes to express a debt
of gratitude to Richard Giles for his twenty-five plus years of
dedicated service to this Commission.
