To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, April 29,
1987. The purpose of the meeting was to review the proposed
Comprehensive Plan prepared by the Southeast Missouri Regional
Planning and Economic Development Commission.
Mr. Thomas Tucker, Mr. Ken Bratton, and Mr. Brian Balsan of
the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development
Commission made the presentation to the Planning and Zoning
Commission.
Mr. Tucker made an introduction to the Commission stating
that this Comprehensive Plan was a draft and that they would
welcome any comments or suggestions that Commission members might
have.
The major presentation was made by Mr. Kent Bratton and Mr.
� Brian Balsan. Their presentation covered the sections listed as
follows:
General Planning Goals and Objectives
Population
Economic Inventory and Analysis
Housing and Neighborhood Analysis
Existing Land Use
Community Facilities and Services
Transportation Inventory and Plan
There was discussion on all sections that were covered.
It was decided the remainder of the Plan would be discussed
at the Planning and Zoning Commission's regular meeting on May 13 ,
1987.
The meeting was then adjourned.
