� � The Planning and Zoning Commission met in joint session with
.� �� the Jackson Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday,
,� September 26, 2007. The purpose of the joint meeting was to exchange
� � information regarding several projects of interest to both communities.
�
�, Chairman Charles O. Haubold, Jr., welcomed the
VCommissioners to the meeting, which was held at the Osage
� „ Community Centre.

!� � 1. Janet Sanders, City of Jackson Building and Planning

Aq Administrator, made a presentation on Phase 1 of the East Main
[�w p Street/I-55/Old Orchard Road Comprehensive Rezoning.

� 2. Janet Sanders, City of Jackson Building and Planning
�1 Administrator, reviewed the CO-1 Enhanced Commercial
� Overlay District, which was adopted August 20, 2007.
� 3. Ken Eftink, City of Cape Girardeau Development Services
� Director, gave an update on La Salle Avenue. Doug Leslie,
City of Cape Girardeau City Manager, provided additional
information.
4. Charles O. Haubold, Jr., Chairman of the City of Cape
Girardeau Planning and Zoning Commission, gave a report on
the City of Cape Girardeau's Comprehensive Plan. He
informed the group that a public hearing on the Plan would be
held at the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Commission on October 10, 2007, and invited the members of
the City of Jackson Planning and Zoning Commission to attend.

'� � Both Commissions agreed that an annual joint meeting was
H y beneficial. The City of Jackson will host the meeting next year.
