Oo`o explained that his business had permission to park at the church
•y M across the street and thought the applicant would be able to get
similar permission. Patrick Buck of 1108 South Sprigg Street also
spoke in support of the project. Jeannine Owens of 1401 Bloomfield
Street, also spoke. She was unsure whether she was in support or
n opposition of the project. Her concerns were the lack of off-street
parking and litter from cars parking in front of her property. A letter
in opposition of the project from Clint and Dawn Welker of 405
On South West End Boulevard was delivered to the Planning Services
office at 4:45 p.m. and distributed to the Commission prior to the start
of the meeting. The concern raised in the letter was the lack of off-
` _ street parking. The Commission discussed the lack of off-street
'q parking and its possible impact on the neighborhood. Staff explained
that the project would have to go through the building permit process
and the parking would be addressed at that time. Scott Rhodes
pointed out that the building is and has been a commercial use. The
C vote on the motion to approve was 7 in favor, 1 in opposition, and 0
N abstaining.
U
  4. That the request of Patrick L. Buck for a Special Use Permit to

the possibility of security lighting shining into the bedroom windows
of his tenants next door. The applicant explained that there was room
for seven to eight cars to park on the site and that all security lighting
j would be directed away from other properties. He also stated that no
liquor would be sold. The Commission discussed parking and
concluded that the parking requirement would be addressed at the
building permit stage. Scott Rhodes pointed out that this building has
historically been commercial and people who have moved into the
area had to have known it was commercial. The vote on the motion
to approve was 8 in favor, 0 in opposition, and 0 abstaining.

•. This is an existing single lot currently developed with three single

with three houses. Therefore, she would like to subdivide the lot in
p°q such a way as each house would be on its own lot and she can sell
y each lot separately. Several variances are required in order to
