MEETING MINUTES
July 11, 2012
Present: Trae Bertrand, Wayne Bowen, Raymond Buhs, William Hinckley, Scott
McClanahan, Ralph Maxton, Marcia Ritter and Thomas J. Welch
Absent: Randy Kluge
Staff Present: Carol Peters and Ryan Shrimplin
Call to Order: Chairman Bertrand called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the June 13, 2012 meeting were unanimously approved upon motion made by
Mr. Bowen and seconded by Mr. Buhs.
Subdivision Plats
1. A record plat for Centurion Subdivision was presented to the Commission for their
consideration. Mr. Dustin Richardson, 6719 State Highway W, Jackson, MO 63755,
� explained his request to subdivide a parcel into two lots at the southeast corner of
Fountain Street and Mason Street so that a second single family home can be built on
the property. Mr. Bertrand made the commission aware that variances for the minimum
lot width and side yard setback requirements were being requested as part of the record
plat. A motion was made by Mr. Bowen and seconded by Mr. Hinckley to recommend
approval of the Centurion Subdivision Record Plat. The motion passed with a vote of 7 in
favor, 0 in opposition, and 0 abstaining.

Mr. Shrimplin reminded the Commission that the Comprehensive Plan Oversight Committee
will meet on July 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Penzel Conference Room at the Cape
Girardeau Public Library.
Adiournment
Upon motion made by Ms. Ritter and seconded by Mr. Bowen, the meeting was adjourned
unanimously at 7:07 p.m.
