SPECIAL SESSION—November 8,2021
0. CALL TO ORDER
The Cape Girardeau City Council convened in special session on Monday, November 8, 2021, at
12:11 p.m., with Mayor Pro Tempore Robbie Guard presiding and Council Members Stacy
Kinder, Shelly Moore, Dan Presson,Nate Thomas, and Shannon Truxel present by telephone and
via Internet videoconferencing (Zoom.us). Mayor Bob Fox was absent due to technical
difficulties.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
A Motion was made by Dan Presson, Seconded by Nate Thomas,to adopt the Agenda.
Motion passed. 6-0.Ayes: Guard,Kinder, Moore, Presson, Thomas,Truxel. Absent: Fox.
CANVASS THE RETURNS AND DECLARE THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 2,2021,ELECTION
Mayor Pro Tempore Robbie Guard stated that the November 2, 2021, election results have been
received from County Clerk Kara Clark Summers. Pursuant to Section 7.09(a) of the City
Charter, the City Council canvassed the returns and declared the results of the June 2, 2020,
General Municipal Election as follows:
CAPE GIRARDEAU CITY QUESTION

Yes— 1,946
No— 1,217
A Motion was made by Dan Presson, Seconded by Stacy Kinder,to approve.
Motion passed. 6-0. Ayes: Guard,Kinder, Moore,Presson,Thomas,Truxel.Absent: Fox.
MEETING ADJOURNMENT
A Motion was made by Stacy Kinder, Seconded by Shelly Moore,to adjourn.
Motion passed. 6-0.Ayes: Guard,Kinder, Moore, Presson,Thomas,Truxel.Absent: Fox.
The regular session ended at 12:18 p.m.
