Present: Ed Meadows, Vice -Chairman Stephen G. Bone, Dir. Parks & Recr. Tony Sebek, Board Member Libby Webster, Enterprise Coordinator Joe Herzog, Golf Superintendent ABSENT: Marcia Stone, Parks & Recr. Secretary Ed Kaiser, Chairman Liz Gerecke, Board Member Curt Smith, City Councilman Due to lack of quorum of board members present, the approval of the minutes for the month of December was tabled. Vice Chairman, Ed Meadows opened the meeting with an introduction of our guest, Del Brown, a long time senior citizen member of the Cape Jaycee Golf Course. Mr. Brown presented a petition of 10 signatures from various senior citizen members of the golf course that felt that the charges on private cart usage, were unrealistic for those on a fixed income. With the Board's approval, he requested that the City look into the legal ramifications of establishing a new private cart fee for senior citizens or lowering the existing fee. He suggested a charge of $125-$150.00 a year for a private cart pass for senior citizens would be a reasonable fee. Mr. Bone will be checking with City Attorney, Warren Wells on the legal aspects of a new fee. However, all the board members present felt that the charge of a yearly pass should exceed $150.00. The discussion was tabled till next meeting. A. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS The Board Members reviewed the Capital Improvements that will be submitted to the City Council on January 31, 1988. B.
