Osage Centre 1. Welcome/Introductions—Collie Welker, Golf Course Advisory Board Vice Chair • Present Callie Welker, Jerry Grim, Keith Sander, Mark Moore, Kent Talley, Gary Wren, Julia Jones, Penny Williams, Brock Davis, Chad Unterreiner, Randy Lueder, Cody Hinkebein, and Ashley Freed. • Absent: JJ Schulz, Nate Savermo, and, Ken House. • Mrs. Welker motioned to begin the meeting at 12:00 pm; Mr. Keith Sander seconded the motion. 2. Approval of Minutes—lune 28, 2018 • Mr. Keith Sander moved to approve the minutes as posted. Mr. Jerry Grim seconded. All approved. 3. New Business • Mrs. Julia Jones added that we will have our annual election of officers at our next meeting. Mr. Kent Talley will be leaving the board now that he has moved out of city limits. • The Golf Course Advisory Board subcommittee meetings are scheduled for September Str at the Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. • Mrs. Julia Jones asked the board to discuss any potential fee increases at the promotions and marketing subcommittee meeting to present to the board at our next board meeting. 4. Old Business • Tee Marker Sponsorship Opportunities— Mr. Cody Hinkebein reported that there are nine tee marker sponsorships available at the Jaycee Golf Course. If any board members know of a local business that might be interested in sponsorship opportunities at the Jaycee Golf Course inquire by contacting Cody Hinkebein at 573.334.2031. • Proposed Property Sale— Mrs. Julia Jones informed the board that the city has not had the property surveyed yet and asked the board members if anyone had any objections. No comments were made. • Lightening Procedure— Mrs. Penny Williams announced that the City is drafting a city wide lightening policy to cover all city facilities. Reports/Project Updates: • Golf Course Pro Shop Update — Cody Hinkebein, Golf Course Manager o lune 2018 - the average temperatures were warmer this year compared to last year. The number of open days this year were the same as June of last year. The monthly sales are down by over $4,000 compared to lune of the previous year and the course is down $19,600 year to date. Rounds are down by 90; year to date rounds are down by about 1,300 rounds. Year to date we have sold a total of 196 club memberships an increase of 18 compared to this time last year. o July 2018- the average temperatures were warmer this year compared to last year. The number of open days this year were the same as July of last year. The monthly sales are up by $3,600 compared to July of the previous year; they fiscal year began July 1". Rounds are up by 815. Year to date we have sold a total of 9 club memberships an increase of 4 compared to this time last year. • Golf Course Maintenance— Randy Lueder, Golf Course Supervisor o Mr. Lueder is working on compiling a list of projects for our subcommittee meetings; the crew will be working on over seeding and aerating the course this fall. • DepartmentProjects/Briefs — Brock Davis, Parks Division Manager c Mr. Davis informed the board that the Arena Park renovations are now complete; the crew will now move over to Canal Park to demolish the old pool area in preparation for the new restrooms, splash pad and shelter renovations. The construction on the skate park will begin soon at Arena Park. 6. Adjournment • Mrs. Welker motioned to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Sander seconded.
