FOUNS AIN S.R£ET Zn meeting held on November 8, 1467, the Plann-ng and Zoning Commission took under advisement six matters of zoning as forwarded by the City Council. A good number of the zoning requests now referred to us are for zoning changes in the newly annexed territory to the City, either far new zoning, or to make their property a conforming use, if it is now nonconforming. To the Instance of request of Walter F. Kelpe, we recommended in our last correspond. once that an opinion or process be set by the City Attorney for handling zoning in the newly annexed territory, where owners are onerating as nonconforming use on a ;wrtion of a large tract. We now recommend furner for yours and Limbaughs consideration of the following possible process for handling the newly annexed terri. tory. Retain the present, planners or yourselves to take the newly revised map of the City showing the newly annexed territory and make a physical check of same, and thereon indicate all non conforming uses and the amount of ground which you feel should be alloted to their particular use, then set then out as nonconforming uses or rezone them to fit the situation, all as you see fit. When t'nis map has been prepared, publish sar..e and hold a public hearing; thea make any necessary adjustments and adopt the map as the official zoning map. The map you are about to adopt includes only the study of the territory in the old corporate limits. Tt is our understanding that you cannot change present zoning or set zoning in an annexed territory without a public hearing. Using a process such as the one outlined above, along with guidance from Mr. Limbaugh, the matter could be settled at this time. We have talked with It. Limbaugh, and he is in concurrence the situation could be handled in this ;;anger to the best interest of the City and all concerned. The Commission, by majority action, recommends as follows: 1, Request of Louis Bahn, of al, to rezone the South side of Bellevue'J't`1„ t' Straet from Pacific Street to HoucK Piece from Class "n" part and 11 iiy Class "C" part, to Class "F", Commercial, be approved. 2.
