Gentlemen:
in meeting held Ihy 8, 1968, the City Plarnin;; and Zoning
Cormission tools under advisement various matters of zoning referred
to it by the Council, and took up planning reoomnendatons on its
own motion.
The Commission, by majority action, recommends as follows: -
.� 1. Approval of plan of Pessrs. Penrod, YbDbwell, Thomasson and
Dillon and their wives for deviation of Pearl Street along
the path of North Frederick Street, Fast of Sprigg Street
and North of Pearl, subject to assumption by applicants of
legal and construction costs, particularly as regards to
Quit Claims and recording of deed charges. etc., and approval
by City Engineer of any projected street designs.
2. On the request of change of zoning by Cape Supply Company and
Dow Chemical Company from i[-1 to Tr21 the Commission feels
that the present and projected uses of the property by Dow
Chemical Company falls under the present M-1 category, and
suggest that the City Council write a letter to Pr. Daane
Fultz, of Dow Chemical Company, so stating, if the Council
agrees with the Commission. We point out that the wording
of the lease of Dow Chanical Comoary with Gape Supply Comrary
states that their business is for "Manufacturing, storage and
laboratory uses of plastics and related assemblies."
3. Denial of request of Larry Haer.ling for rezoning at 21 N.
: ,Over to R-4.
4. Recc:mrend under City Planning, that t'.:e Council make Bellevue
a through street from Inrimier to Pacific with no stop signs
on Bellevue between these two points, and that the stop sign
on Sprigg Street at North be discontinued.
