To the Honorable Tayor and Councilmen
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
In meeting held larch 13, 1968, the City Planning and 7nning Commission
tools under advisement various matters of planning and zoning as referred
to it by the Council.
The Cortiission, by majority action, recommends as follows:
1. Approval of special use permit for Larry Bannister; 13 acre tract
off of Bloomfield Road.
2. Approval of Hutson Fnterprises request to rezone a tract at
Country Club Drive and }'ai.n Street from R-1 to R-2, subject to
the following: acceptance by the City Council of a plat presented
according to all City Regulations, including dedication and naming
of streets.
`.. 3. Request of M% J. D. Stewart be tabled until adoption, of zone map
for newly arnexod part of Cape Girardeau.
4. Denial of request of 11r. Joseph Kuss to rezone a tract at Edge -
wood Road and Route K from R-1 to R-4.
5. Approval of request of Paramount Painting of change on tract on
Thomas Drive fron R-1 to G-2.
6, Request City Clerk to publish special use permit heoring for Cape
Bible Chapelfor a Church to be built on the Northeast corner of
West Cape Rock Drive and Lombardo Drive.
The Coam.ission gave its recommendation to :"r. Drunr•ond, of Bartholomew
and Associates, for street improvenent priorities, which will be presented
to the Council by T"7. Drurmncnd. The Corunission, also, desires a special
meeting with the Council and !,r. Frederick concerning adoption of the
reconnended zoning in the newly annexed territory, prior to our next
meeting of April 10, if possible.
