To the Honorable Mayor and Councilmen
of the City of Cape Girardeau, dSssouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met on Wednesday, February 11,
1970, with the following present: Giles, Chairman, Arnold, Wraps,
!Maxey, and Advisor, Hahn.
By majority action we recomrzend as follows:
1. Approval of the request of the New Testament Christian Church ,
for a "Special Use Permit" for the purpose of maintaining a church on
4 acres, more or less, near Hopper Road and Mount Auburn Road.
2. Approval of the request of the 'forth Cape Girardeau Investment
Company to rezone an approximate 97 feet by 267 feet lot on Perryville
Road from R-1 to C-1. This site is nresently occupied by an apartment
building,, and Quick Shop.
3. That the C-3 zoning as presently extends to Henderson Avenue
between Themis Street and south of Broadway, be stopped at Hanover
Street, and that the area bounded by Henderson Avenue, Hanover Street,
Thesis Street, and south of Broadway be zoned R-3 rather than C-3.
4. Next meeting March 11, 1970.
