To the Honorable Mayor & City Councilmen,
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met on May 13, 1970, with
the following present: Giles, Chairman, George, Arnold, Wrape, Hem-
perley, Hahn, Advisor,
By majority action we recommend as follows:
1. The request of Amanda Esswein for rezoning is tabled, and
the City Clerk is requested to contact Amanda Esswein and
ask her to appear before the Commission at its next meet-
ing to explain the reason for her request for change. In
_ addition the clerk should tell Mrs. Eswein that a plat and
legal description of her property must be submitted prior
to the hearing.
2. On the varied requests of Delores Klaus Luton for rezoning,
the Commission recommends denial of all requests except for
that lot on which lies the former Osteopathic Hospital, de-
scribed in the application as the North 1/2 of Lot 5, in
Range "A", 112 feet of Spanish Street and 180 feet on Mer-
riwether Street, this lot to be rezoned from R-4 to C-1.
3. We request the Council to direct the City Clerk to mim-
eograph forms to give to those requesting rezoning. This
form should include the information that a legal descript-
ion and plat is required with an application and the meet-
ing date of the Commission normally this is the second Wed-
nesday_ of each month at 7:30 PM and the Council is inform-
ed when that date will be.
