To the Honorable Mayor and City Councilmen,
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Gentelmen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, July 14, 1971,
with the following present: Giles, Chairman, Tooke, Hahn, Wrape,
Smith, George, Ruopp and Hemperley.
By majority action, actual vote recorded on application forms
returned herewith, we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Burton Gerhardt for a "Special Use Permit"
for apartments in a C-3 zone be approved, subject to the applicant
following all rules and regulations of the City Building Code.
2. That the request of Wayne Freeman for a "Special Use Permit"
for a parking lot at 504 North West End Boulevard be tabled until
such time as the Planning and Zoning Commission is made aware of the
use that the adjoining Commercial property will be put to.
3. That the Transportation Study of the City of Cape Girardeau
be returned to the City Council with a vote of approval by the Com-
mission of 8 - 0.
The Commission returned the application of Mr. Wieser to his
representative, Mr. Holshouser, as being faulty, and told applicant
to re -submit when his plans were more complete.
The Commission agreed to take under advisement the possibility
of rezoning two miles beyond the present City Limits, as authorized
by a newly enacted Missouri Statute, subject to the approval of the
County Court. This at the request of Mayor Tooke.
