To the Honorable Mayor and Councilmen,
Citv of Cape Girardeau,
Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Gentlemen:
The City Planning and Zoning Commission met on November 10th, 1971..
Present were Milton George, Acting Chairman, George Wrape, Acting
Secretary, Lon Maxey, Gary Arnold, Bob Hahn, Howard Tooke, Brad Smith
and Dudley Ruopp.
By majority action we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Robert A. Drury for a "Special Use Permit"
for apartments in a C-2 Commercial District at Farrar Drive and
Mt. Auburn Road be denied.
It is recommended, however, that we rezone this tract to R-4 with
the provision that Independence Street be dedicated thru the pro-
perty in an orderly fashion.
2. That the request of A.D. Price and Leonard Lowes to rezone a tract
of land adjoining Kenrick 2nd Subdivision from R-2 to R-4, be ap-
proved.
3. That the request of Drury Development Company to dedicate to the
City an unnamed street off of Farrar Drive be denied.
It is recommended, however, that an access easement to be maintain-
ed as a private drive by the abutting property owners be approved.
