To the Mayor and City Councilmen
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met on Wednesday, October 9,1974.
By majority vote, actual vote counted and folders, per attachment
we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Mrs. Charlotte Newton to continue her
Art Studio at 1006 rear No. West End Blvd. be approved for
a two year period of continuance for the special use permit.
2. That the request of Carl Blanchard to rezone property at
1001 So. Kingshighway from R-1 Residential to M-1 Industrial
be denied. The Commission expressed encouragement for the
type business operation envisualized by Mr. Blanchard.
3. That the request of Charles L. Hutson to rezone lots 1, 2,
3 and 4, of Block 4, Alma Schrader Subdivision from R-1 to
R-2 be approved. a
4. The Commission received a report from the Southeast Regional
Planning Commission with Cletus 0. Hunt presenting Land Use
Maps for final submission prior to the Regional Planning
Commission submitting their report and recommendations. The
Planning and Zoning Commission expressed appreciation to the
Southeast Regional Planning Commission and Mr. Hunt for their
efforts.
