To the Honorable Mayor and Councilmen
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, April 9, 1980. By majority
vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Missouri Utilities Company for a Special Use Permit to
erect a 226 foot microwave tower at 45 South Minnesota be approved.
Other actions taken by the Planning and Zoning Commission are as follows:
1. The Sketch Plan of Julie Subdivision as presented by Drury Development
Corporation was returned to the applicant for additional information.
2. A presentation andvdiscussion of safety provisions for pedestrian and
bicycle travelers in particular areas of the City were entertained by the
Commission. At this time, the Commission would like to invite the Bicycle
Club as represented by John Dunbar and/or a university group to initiate
studies of their own and to develope recommendations to present to the
Planning and Zoning Commission on behalf of pedestrian and bicycle traffic
safety provisions at their earliest convenience.
