To the Honorable Mayor and Councilmen
of the City of nape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met 17ednesday, July 14, 1982. By
majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of John L. Oliver, Jr. for a Special Use Permit for
gasoline pumps at the southeast corner of Bellevue and Frederick Streets
be approved subject to a limitation of one island with two pump units on
the island.
2. That the request of Vernon and Edwin Rhodes for a Special Use Permit for
an addition to the U Store and Tock It facility on Star Route W be approved.
3. That the request of Paul A. Kitchen and Robert and Sherry Harris for a
Special Use Permit for a general upholstery shop at 1200 North Main Street
be approved.
4. That the preliminary plat of Second Park 'Rest Professional. Plaza be approved.
This was the date set for a public hearing regarding the preliminary
redevelopment plan for the downtown area by Booker Associates with and for the
Redevelopment Corporation in accordance with Section 17A-9 of City Manager Form
Ordinance No. 1660. The Commission reviewed the preliminary plan and was generally
supportive of the plan. In reviewing the charge by the City Council in the
aforementioned ordinance No. 1660, additional specific actions were required of
the Commission. Those specifics will be dealt with at the next Commission
meeting.
