To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, October
10, 1984. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file,
we recommend as follows:
1. That the request of Ben and Lucille LeGrand to rezone Lots
13, 14, 15, and 16 at 1225 North Water Street from R-2
Residential to C-2 Commercial be denied. The earlier
request of Ben and Lucille LeGrand for a Special Use
Permit for Lots 13 and 14 at 1225 North Water was removed
from the table. The Commission recommends approval of the
Special Use Permit for Lots 13 and 14 per the initial
request as approved by the City Council for the flood plain
permit.
2. That the request of John Holland for a Special Use Permit
at 535 South Sprigg Street to repair and enlarge the present
house into a two-family residence be approved and the re-
quest for a residential apartment above the garage on the
back of the lot be denied.
3. That the request of John and Cherie Reed to rezone property
at 713 North Main from M-2 Manufacturing to C-3 Commercial
be denied because rezoning will not accomplish what the
applicants want and that the matter be referred to the
City Staff.
4. That the Preliminary Plat of McBride Acres be approved.

5. That the proposed ordinance to increase off-street parking
requirements for multiple dwellings be approved.
6. That the proposed ordinance to require all streets in future
platted subdivisions to be dedicated to public use be
approved.
