Gentlemen:
ilhe Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, January 13,
11488. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we
act and/or recommend as follows:
I. That the request of Union Electric Company for a
Special Use Permit to relocate an existing electrical
suhstation damaged by flood on May 15, 1986, at 501
independence Street in a C-3 zone be approved.
t 2. That the request of Lone Star Industries, Inc. and the
City of Cape Girardeau for a Special Use Permit for a
Municipal Transfer Station for Solid Waste Management
at 2500 South Sprigg Street in an M-2 zone be approved.
,. That the request of Harold Sinn Construction, Inc. and
Joann McCauley for a Special Ilse Permit for a mission
for religious purposes at 624 Good Hope street in a
C-3 zone be hpproved for a period of one (1) year
with {he option to be extended at the end of that time.
4. That the request of Dr. Fred Rawlings Trust and A. D.
Prire fnr a Special Use Permit for a Planned
Residential Development/Community Unit Plan at the dead
end of Oxford Drive in an R-1 zone be denied.
A status report was presented by Jack Higdon on the work done
by the Vision 2000 committee as of January 1, 1988. Mr. Higdon
stated that the Vision 2000 would be working closely with the
Planning and Zoning Commission in an effort to accomplish their
gnais.
Dr. Jesse Ramsey presented a proposed ordinance for the
Protection of the Historic and Architectural Character of the
Pesources of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Commission
recommended that this ordinance be approved by the City Council.
