To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, April 13,
1988. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we
act and/or recommend as follows:
1. That the request of County Bancorporation, Inc. for
a Special Use Permit for a four story office
building to house offices for County
Bancorporation, Inc. and Cape County Bank of Cape
Girardeau at 407 North Kingshighway in a C-2 zone
be approved.
Mr. Earl Sams of 211 South Park appeared before the
Commission to register complaints in connection with property that
was rezoned for a car wash at William and Park. Mr. Sams lives
directly south of the car wash. His complaints dealt with damage
to his property, disturbances from radios of car wash patrons, and
car wash patrons wanting to use his personal telephone for various
reasons. The Commission indicated to Mr. Sams that they would
have the Community Development Director investigate the complaint
and contact the owner by letter to discuss possible resolutions to
Mr. Sams' problems.
