To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Gentlemen:
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Wednesday, December 14,
1988. By majority vote, actual vote counted and in the file, we act
and/or recommend as follows:
1. That the preliminary plat of Ashland Hills Estates be
approved.
2. That the request of Bill J. and JoAnn Adams to rezone 1701
Big Bend Road from R-1, Single Family Residential, to C-2,
General Commercial District, be denied.
3. That the request of Walter J. Ford Voluntary Trust to
rezone property in the 1200 block of North Mt. Auburn Road
from R-4, Multiple Family Residential, to C-1, Local
Commercial District, be approved.
4. That the record plat of Clarkton Place Subdivision Phase II
be approved.
In other business, the Commission reviewed the preliminary plat of
Heuer Subdivision, which is being developed in Cape Girardeau County and
is within one and one-half miles of the City Limits.
Also, three proposed amendments to the Zoning ordinance were
approved by the Commission and will be forwarded to the City Council for
adoption.
