Monthly Activity Report - Mr. Loy reported the good news that during the months of lune and July TWE boardings were way up (38.9`7.. for June), but operations were down. Mr. Heldman commented that from July, 1994 - November, 1994 TWE enplanements were at their highest level when we had three flights a day and if we would take those 1994 figures and add the current Proctor & Gamble figures we could reach our 10,000 enplanement goal. Mr. Loy explained the response he received from Margaret Berries of the FAA in reference to what counts as an enplanement. She supplied the following response found on the reverse side of Form 1800-31 "This survey is restricted to Air Taxi/Commercial operations that are subject to the passenger transportation tax reported on IRS Form 720, line 26, but are not reported to the Office of Airline Information, Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), Department of Transportation. This tax applies to (1) the use of any aircraft in scheduled service and (2) the use of on -demand taxi aircraft with a gross takeoff weight of 6,000 pounds or more." Mr. Loy was requested to contact Mr. Anders and clarify his understanding of the instructions. The board discussed the number of operations being down due in part to the decline in flight training and aircraft rentals from the FRO. Mr. Loy will also speak to Mr. Anders in reference to this.
