T. CALL TO ORDER
C,Chairmau Robertson called the meeting to order at 5: 15 p.m.
11. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Mr. Brazil made a rotation to approve the minutes of the .August 5. 1991 meeting, Mr. Ferguson seconded the
motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
111. OLD BUSINESS
A. Monthly Activity Report - Mr. Loy reported that TWE enplanemenls were up about 427.. and operations
were down again this month. He informed the board of comments received from Mr. Wayne Anders. Air
Cvac Aviation General Manager, in reference to the decline in flight inoruaing and traffic counts. Mr. Loy
slated that according to Mr. Anders, f.iglars taken with the Cessna 421 are used is counting their momht)
cnplanenient figures but flights in the Baron are not counted toward their monthly cnplmmment figures due
:o the weight of he aircraft. A(r- Anders also stated be is down to one insnucior. Mr. Loy did cmnhasize
that the enplaacmere figures arc steadily going up and what is really important now is having people flying
the new Bight schedule.
B. Update on Aviation Day Events - The board discussed the dav's events as Mr. Loy presented hoard
memher,, with a tentative schedule of eecws for hie day, along with a iio of the committees and dxmsons np .
Sixty to seveov sky divers are expected. Plane rides will be available. There will he eight balloons here
;or the event with the possibility, of a night grow on Saturday nigra. Parking `ccs will he S3.ik� per car,
admission will be free. Mr. Robertson suggested a parking, pass he sent to all previous airport beard
members.
C. Airport Engineering RVQ - Mr. Lop explained that the contract with Crawford. Morphe and Tilley has
expired and a search is underway for a new consultant, RFQ's will be accepted until Scmemlur 26.
D. Restaurant Update Mr. Loy informed the board that Ms. Yvonne L.eGrand has withdrawn her request to
operate :he rresmara:u facility due :o fire mmi; problems and she was afraid of going from ore had I'Van"r,
to another. -
E. promotional ItIvei -'rhe flyer Is currently on the press mid should be finished by later this week. Mr. Loy
oT introduced Alt. Rob Low. Airport Management Imern, Mr. Low will be with the airport for one more
semester. He has been woritum on The Airport web page. Mr, Loy requested he present the web page !o the
board at the next meeting. Mr. Robertson suggested Mr. Loy meet with Mr. Heldman an a suggested

F. Enterprise Rent -a -Car Lease - Funerprise Rout -a -Car has the lease agreement for their rcvic, and
signings. Mr. Loy explained that if we have it back by Wednesday. September 10, 1997 it can Ix presented
to the City Council on Septeatber 15, with Enterprise moving in right away after Council approval. MC Loy
further explained the lease was set for the short time Irame respiring December 31) so that all cmrental
agreements could be le negotiated at that time in reference to parking issues. In response n Mr. Overbey's

IV. NEW BUSINESS
A. Travel Agency Reception / TWE Promotion - Mr. Loy invited the board to attend the reception Thursday,
September 11, 1997 to kick off the TWE new Bight schedule and start a (ravel agency promotion Mr. Bill
Mishk, TWE Director of Marketing, will be here for the event.
NON -AGENDA ITEMS
Air Race Classic - Mr. Loy stated the 1998 route has been set with Cape Girardeau as a "must stop". The dares
of the event are June 24 - 26, 1998.
Rules & Regulations - Mr. Loy reviewed the Rules & Regulations with Eric Cunningham, City Attnrnev, and
Rated several areas with open ended legal wording problems. Mr. Loy will continue reviewing and rewriting the
document.
Civil Air Patrol - Mr. Lov announced that Steve Brazil will be taking over the Civil Air Patrol. They will he
trying to get a plane back down here again and will be helping out with parking during Aviation Day.
