Enterprise Rent -a -Car - Mr. Loy explained Fnterprisc has requested to only staff their counter From I hour prior to a
flight and ',<_ hour after a flight. Mr. Loy spoke with Hertz and National regarding this issue. National representaliccs tell
this would give Enterprise and unfair advantage allowing them to maintain a limited staff. Although, they were in favor of
having the offices staffed from 8:00 - 5:00 with the I hour and '/., hour scheduling for flights not during that time frmre.
Mr. Loy will write a letter to Fnterprisc expressing the need to have their counter staffed.
Restaurant Update - Mr. Loy informed the board that Blinnpies has approached him in reference to running a sandwich
business from the airport. They have been at the airport to look at the facility and he will keep the board infornned of anv
future developments.
Senate Legislation issues - Mr. Lov gave the board an update on his trip to Jefferson City'I uesday for the Senate Hill 81
committee hearing. The bill was passed by the committee and will now go to the Senate floor Rol approval. I Ic mentioned
there was only one opposition to the bill which came from the Air Transport Association (A'I A). Their concern was that
,he finding is being earmarked for general aviation airports but the tax is coming from commercial jet fuel tax. Mn Los
,..entioned that there are other bills out there now to benefit aviation, but the important thing now is for pilots to write
letters to their local Senators and Congressmen in support of Bill 813. Mr. Loy will prepare a form letter ]or use by pilots
wishing to submit their letters of support.
Preliminary Airport Budget - Mr. Loy presented the board members with a preliminary budget for the 99/99 Fiscal Year.
He intbrnned them that he has included an increase in advertising and community development as well as inserting funding
for the air show this year and next year. This preliminary budget will now go to the budget team and ultimately will be
taken to the City Council for approval after the budget team makes their final recommendations.
Meeting Bates - Mr. Loy questioned the members present on their feelings on changing the regular meeting date of the
