1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
'Ihe board reviewed and approved the minutes from the February 13. 2001 meeting.
IL OLD BUSINESS
A. Monthly Activity Report — The board reviewed the activity report Mr. Loy reported that Corporate
Airlines made an offer to Procter & Gamble in an attempt to gain their travel business. Procter R
Gamble at this point apparently is not interested in the offer since they have cut back tremendously on the
amount of employee travel and the offer did not result in a very big savings for them. Air Traffic at the
Cape Girardeau airport is up once again. Traffic is up approximately 35% since 1997. The increase can
be attributed to the restaurant, the air festival, flight training, etc. The airport in general is being utilized
more in recent Nears.
13. TWA/American Airline Buyout Update - Mr. Loy reported that the most recent report he has rcceiced
from Mr. Chuck Howell, President — CEO of Corporate Airlines, is that they will be operating as I WA,
LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines. I his means that no one will know the change has
been made. Thr aircraft and name will remain the same tor at least 12 to 18 months. The GAS contract
in Cape Girardeau will expire in May 20112. American Airlines will watch airline load factors more
closely than TWA did. 'therefore, Mr. Loy feels our number one priority at this point should be to
increase boardings with the airline we currently have rather than to focus on trying to obtain a second
airline to another destination. It appears we have 12 months to increase our boardings or American
Airlines may consider pulling out of Cape Girardeau when the EAS contract expires. Mr. Lov will be
Working with Corporate Airlines in finding ways to increase the boardings from Cape Girardeau. Ile
will he discussing the possibility of increasing the flights to Cape Girardeau to four round trips daily so
that hu1111eSS travelers can more easil fly to Cape Girardeau for a business deal and Ile back nut the
same day. Mr. Loy will also check to see if the $40 round trip fare with connecting TWA flights will be
extended to include American flights.
C. Renaissance Aircraft Update — Mr. Loy reported that everything has been moved to Cape Girardeau
for the Renaissance operation.'Ilie v have hired a Production Engineer and a Production Manager. I he
state will not release ane funds until the court judgement against them has been issued. We have
received the (halt lease documents and are in the process of reviewing those at this time Mr. LON
projected a completion date of sometime in the fall for the construction of their facility.
D. Air Festival Update— Mr. Loy reported than the air festival volunteers got together to begin planning
the event for this year. He mentioned the aircraft and performers that are expected to be on hand for the
weekend. Ile informed the board that the earlier they let hill know who they have contacted for
sponsors the better it would be Ili advertising purposes. He also mentioned the City is not backing the
event with any stoney this year. Therefore the show is very dependent upon sponsorship funds. He
mentioned that Mac's Smokehouse would not be supplying food for the event due to a catering conflict.
Mr. Lov has contacted Port Cape Girardeau who appears to be interested in working with us.
O.. E. Discussion Regarding Marketing Plan Update Due to City budget sessions, Mr. Loy did not hays a

A. Hangar Negotiations with Air Evac - Mr. Loy informed the board that there are two individuals
interested in building personal hangars at the airport. He met with Air Evac Aviation to discuss the
possibility of amending their lease to let go of some land for these hangars to be build upon. Mr. Loy
reported that Air Evac agreed to let Bill Beard and he work out some arrangements. Mr. Loy will work
with Mr. Beard to develop an agreement for enough land for the hangars to be built.
V. NON AGENDA ITEMS
Mr. Loy reminded the board of the SEMO Modelers Radio Controlled Air Show to be held on May 6, 21101.
Mr. Overbey's term on the board is expiring at the end of the month. Since he did not reapply, Mr. Loy
